Zoot Zoot

This girl is done.  I just have to dig deep on this final day, this final blog and think of something I’m grateful for that starts with beloved “Z.”

Zebras come to mind.  And I have a picture for that, see above.  I do love zebras because, well, they are just so cool.  I can’t recall if they have figured out if zebras are white with black markings or vice versa?  Please readers, help a lady out by supplying that answer.  Either way, they are cool.  And festive.  I let my redneck show when I say I love an animal print, especially zebra (faux zebra, obviously!  Don’t want the PETA folks after me!).

The other thing that comes to mind is zombies.  Not all zombies, but I do admit to an addiction to that over top, totally nasty but enthralling show, The Walking Dead.

I. Can’t. Help. Myself.

Seriously, once you get past all the grosser than gross zombie faces and new, inventive ways to kill them (stabbing/shooting/decapitating/burning them, trapping them in mud, crushing them, blowing them up with makeshift molotov cocktails, trapping them in molten mettle, etc. etc.), you’ll find some really great storying telling on the show.  And the characters, honestly, what can I say.  Ferocious men.  Kick ass females. Honestly.  Plus, the lead is that guy we all love from Love Actually, who holds up the cards that say what every woman really wants to hear,

“To me, you are perfect.”

So that’s a wrap, team.  Zombies and zebras and the zodiac (I’m a capricorn btw) and zippers (very, very useful).  Mostly, I’m grateful to be done with this challenge.  And I’m grateful to have kept my word, not always easy when my inner-slacker begged me to skip just one day — almost every day.

I hope I’ve cheered you these past 26 days.  I’m taking a brief pause in writing, but will holler out again when the next great piece of art or inspiring speaker or fantastic podcast strikes my fancy.  Thanks for sticking with me!
