Green

It’s been raining here again, which makes everything look really, really green.  It rains so seldom that I’m still struck by how green everything looks just after the rain — the trees, the bushes, the hills.  Green, green, green.  So I’m looking past the drizzle and the cloudy skies and I’m practicing gratitude for the green left in its wake.  Soon, the rain will end, the sun will beat down and the hills will turn brown.  For now, I’ll be grateful for the green.

I’m not feeling very loquacious tonight so I’m going to make this blog short.  Just a few more things “G”s for my gratitude list:  Generosity, grace, glaciers, goodness, grandparents, gazelles, giraffes and grizzly bears, the galaxy, glitz and gizmos, garbage men and gourmands, gastroenterologists (a nod to my Dad) and glass blowers.  Let’s not forget girlfriends, gelato, and Germany (the new leader of the free world ;0/).

Gratitude doesn’t always come easy and sometimes I have to dig around a bit to find it.  But I have a long list of things to be grateful for right here and right now.  We just have to look.
